NOTICE TO MEMBERS

Band Meetings will be held on the first Sunday of every month at 2:00 pm. The next scheduled meeting is May 5, 2013. All members are urged to attend. Miigwech

 

PLEASE NOTE: At the Band Meeting held on May 5, 2013 a new motion was made to hold band meetings every 2 months instead of monthly unless something urgent or something that comes up and need to discuss.

Secure
Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS)
Thunder Bay Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada Office are
now accepting applications for the New Secure Certificate of Indian Status
(SCIS).
 
To fill out an application please go to Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Office at 101-100 Anemki Drive, Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Forms are also available on the website www.aandc-aadnc.gc.ca
 
Please see Identification Requirements when applying for the new SCIS card.
**The implementation at the First Nation Level is expected to commence after April
2013, and you will be notified accordingly. **

Aboriginal Day

National Aboriginal Day, a day for all Canadians to celebrate the cultures and contributions to Canada of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples.

National Aboriginal Day was proclaimed in 1996 by former Governor General Roméo A. LeBlanc. Today National Aboriginal Day is part of the annual nation-wide Celebrate Canada with celebrations centering around National Aboriginal Day, but continuing through St-Jean Baptiste Day, Canadian Multiculturalism Day and concluding with Canada Day.
